Geography: Ysbyty Ystwyth is on the B4343 between Ponterwyd and Tregaron in mid Wales. Cae Newydd overlooks the Ystwyth Valley in the Cambrian mountains
but is only 13 miles inland from Aberystwyth on the Cardiganshire coast.. To the south lies Tregaron, Lampeter and Carmarthen with access to the M4.
