THE LOCATION
We don’t like using `jargon’ but Whiteleaf really is a sought after village. It has the perfect balance between the peace and beauty of the countryside and the necessities of modern living.

Sited on the chalk escarpment of the Chilterns, Whiteleaf is most famous for its Nature Reserve and the Whiteleaf Cross, which can be seen for miles. Residents care about their environment and have a history of resistance to what they call `creeping urbanisation.’ There are no Barratt estates here, each property is individual, housing density is low and the abundance of trees protects privacy. The centre of the village is the cosy pub and Whiteleaf Golf Club is within walking distance too.

About a mile away is Princes Risborough, a busy market town with good facilities including both private and NHS Dentists, Doctors and a Leisure Centre. Chiltern Railways provide an excellent 45 minute train service to London Marylebone. The town has a wide range of local shops including a traditional butcher, Tesco and Marks & Spencer Food stores. More information about the Princes Risborough is available here:

THE HOUSE
Access is via a Bridal Path and therefore used only by a few residents and the occasional horse or walker. It was built in the early 80s and unusually for modern property, mahogany doors and floors give the house a luxurious opulent feel. You might think that would make the house gloomy, but the dark wood is counterbalanced by light coloured walls and natural light, streaming through large windows and French doors. The rooms are generous in proportion, the internal floor area being 264 sq metres (2842 square feet).

The house has been brought up to date within the last few years with all the bathrooms and the kitchen being refitted. We don’t think there is anything left to do! The Kitchen and dining rooms are even connected by a large walk-through, turning this area into the hub of the home.

For the conservation minded, the house has scored very high on both EER (68) and EIR (69) ratings, supporting what we already knew, this is a very economical house to run. The windows and barge boards are in white UPVC and therefore maintenance free.

The house sits in the centre of a medium-sized plot with landscaped gardens, complete with patio areas to both front and rear, the rest laid mainly to lawn with rockery features. There is a garage plus parking for four more cars.
