46 East Street Faversham
Kent ME13 8AT
Offers in region of £495,000 for Freehold
Once the site of Faversham College, and built around 1855, 46 East Street is an impressive, semi-detached townhouse that has been extensively restored and renovated to once again provide a fine family home with many original features retained.
Situated close to Faversham town centre, within the Conservation Area, the house offers spacious (approx. 2,200 sq ft) and flexible accommodation on four storeys, comprising Drawing room, Reception room, large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living room, Master Bedroom with en suite Shower room, three further Double Bedrooms, Family Bathroom, separate WC, Utility room, Larder and Pantry.
Outside, the front garden is enclosed by bespoke railings (awaiting installation) with a pedestrian gate flanked by tall, stone-capped piers. A red and black quarry tiled path runs up to the front steps with iron hand rails either side. An alley alongside the house leads through a door into the south facing, walled rear garden. In this garden there is a wooden store shed, Summerhouse, original ice house and charming restored brick Privy.
Having undergone major renovation, the house has newly installed Gas Central Heating and boiler, plumbing and electrics, including a smoke alarm system. Sisal flooring from Crucial Trading runs throughout the ground floor, staircases and landings. The bedroom floors are covered in Wool carpet and the Kitchen/Dining/Living room has solid wooden floorboards.
