This enchanting villais to be found in one of the most exclusive residential areas of the island in Sa Mola in the Puerto de Andratx. It is very usual to see famous people in the area of the Puerto de Andratx in the summer months as it is a very popular and high class zone where everything is at hand, golfcourses, beaches, nautical sports and all classes of entertainment. Palma, the capital city, can be reached in only 30 minutes by car.

Exterior

The villa is first line to the sea and has access to the beach. The resulting views of the Mediterranean and surrounding countryside are really remarkable. It stands over some cliffs on a plot of land that measures about 2.200m2. Sa Mola has earned a good name for itself as a high class area with remarkable properties.The property has the original and unusual feature of circular tower from where the striking views of the really lovely garden with pine trees, the swimming pool that seems to overflow into the sea and the sea itself can be appreciated.

Features

Puerto Andratx and the town of Andratx

The town of Andratx are situated in the far south west corner of Mallorca in the municipality of Andratx which has over 7,000 inhabitants. With magnificent mountains either side of the port, Andratx has become one of the most sought after areas to live in Mallorca, attracting celebrities such as Claudia Schiffer. The town is located inland and is very picturesque with cobbled streets and you can still see the remains of the old wall which protected the inhabitants from attack from pirates. The Pantaleu and Pou Amunt districts form the oldest part of Andratx town. The higher part of town consists of twisting and constricted stepped roads whereas the lower part is based on a grid design.

The town hall is in Son Mas castle, built in the 19th century. A 15th century tower, the Sagrament Tower, is inside. Santa Maria d'Andratx church, after years of improvement, has the appearance of a 18th century temple.

The Port of Andratx was originally a small fishing village. Although there are still local fishermen the area is more popular now as a tourist resort, with a large marina.

Ses Bassetes beach, only 30m long, is between the prom and the pier. One of the main drawbacks is the lack of beaches in the immediate area but Camp de Mar is only 3km away and the beautiful town of San Telmo is not far away, opposite the island of Dragonera, with regular boat trips available.
